In 1965 Wayne and Carol
Klink purchased their first dump truck with the purpose
of providing service to the local construction industry.
In 1978 Klink Trucking was incorporated but was still
operated from the family farm. Wayne and Carol saw the
potential in Northeastern Indiana to not only be a
supplier of materials and transportation, but also the
need to provide excavating services in the area.
In 1985 Klink Trucking
constructed a new maintenance facility and corporate
office at I-69 and SR 4 in Ashley, Indiana to better
handle their growing operation. In 1987 Klink expanded
into Elkhart County, Indiana with the purchase of East
Side Gravel. In 1997 Klink Trucking constructed a new maintenance
facility and offices in South Bend, Indiana. This same
year a new emulsion facility, Bit-Mat Products, was also
constructed in South Bend. In 2002 Bit-Mat
Products of Michigan opened an emulsion facility in Bay
City, MI.
